A Little Bit About Your Host

Hello, and thank you for your interest in Nushagak Outfitters. We began operating our first tent camp on the Nushagak River in the summer of 1991. From this camp we offered guided and unguided fishing trips for the next 8 years and built a wonderful clientele, most of whom returned year after year.

 

During the summer of 2000 we began construction on the cabins and other buildings that would eventually become the Nushagak River Lodge. We finished in the spring of 2001 in time for the fishing season. The new lodge is 10 miles down river from our previous location and offers a whole new level of comfort while still maintaining the down home atmosphere and excellent fishing our clients have come to expect.

 

 

Your hosts and owners are Randy and Darlene Triplett. Randy and Darlene have called the Dillingham area their home for the last 25 years and can give you a unique perspective of life in the area. Darlene spent all of that time working for the school district including many years teaching in remote native villages. Randy has guided and hunted for Bear, Moose, Caribou, and Wolf on the river knows the area like few others.

During the summer of 2010 we moved home to Montana. We will still be operating the camp and still maintain the shop in Dillingham.
